It has been a while since I written about Lush, wasn't it? Let's pretend it was. As always, I have a confession, and can you guess from the title what it is? I hate shaving, and while it is easy to not to do in winter, it gets much harder in summer, and especially if you are like me, and love dresses, you are left with no choice, but just do it. It took me a while to find a way to make the process at least a little bit more pleasant, and unexpectedly, the answer jumped into my cart, while shopping at Lush.
That answer is lavender and coffee, in the form of Five O'clock Whistle shaving cream.
As the name suggests, it is a cream, used to ease up the shaving process. I realize lavender and coffee smelling product sounds weird, but trust me, Lush is capable of coming up with weirder combinations, and most of them, this one being not an exception, does really work. It is lovely scented, smooth cream you apply generously on your legs (or other parts of your body you want even and smooth). It is not only enriched with coffee and lavender, it also has jojoba, olive and murumuru oils, as well as some aloe vera. So as you can see, it has rich ingredients, that are dedicated to leave your skin smooth and hydrated. Granted, it doesn't lather, but it is not supposed to, so it might throw some people off, but once you know what to expect, it shouldn't be a problem.
The very first time I went to use it, it felt slightly weird, since I was used to foaming shaving gels, but it didn't take me long to get the hang of it, and I am pretty sure I won't be going back. Due to its scent, and the linger afterwards, the smoothness and perfect consistency as well as moisturizing properties, this is now my number 1 shaving cream, which I will choose over anything until it is on the market (Lush, if you discontinue this, I will be VERY VERY mad!).
Have we, within the course of this blog, established, how clumsy I am? If not, let me share this story with you. I was going out somewhere, wanting to wear a dress, aka, necessity of shaving, and, of course, grabbed this cream. All went nice and smooth, until I was done, AND let the shower water run, without closing the lid for the smoothie. It was ruined and I was devastated, but it didn't take me long to go and get another pot! That shows how much in love with the product I am.
Do you hate shaving your legs as much as I do? What do you use? Are you tempted to step into Lush for this product? Do let me know!
