Ever since Lush has closed in my country, I am forced to branch out to other companies in order to find my new holy grails, something, that I can incorporate in my skincare routine. Talking of which, would you like to read about my new skincare turnaround, since I am testing a bunch of new products?
So, the brand I am exploring and learning to love, is Kiehls. I think I should preface this by saying that I am a face mask addict. I do have an urge to go count, how many I currently own, but I’m pretty sure it is a two digit number, and that is not including sheet masks. Every time I see a new mask being launched, you can bet I will be first to throw my money at the brand (it is a miracle I still haven’t tried GlamGlow).
I am a huge advocate for masking, and even multi-masking, since your skin deserves a treat the same way you do. While this mask might be on a little bit pricier side, it lasts for ages, and it is worth every cent. To start with, it smells amazing. It has a very interesting texture, and to be honest, if presented without a label, I would attempt to put it on toast, since it reminds of citrus jam or something like that. This mask is rather rich in natural ingredients, having calendula and aloe extracts to soothe, citrus peels to brighten, and other flower extracts to hydrate.
This mask feels very comfortable on the skin, it has a slight cooling effect, but it is not tingly in any means, more like you just sprayed thermal water onto your face. Needless to say, it would be perfect on a hot summer evening, while sipping a cocktail under the sun. It does have a soothing effect, it makes your skin baby soft and it immediately brightens. I feel like this mask is one of those I need to have in my stash for emergency purposes, and I will bite a bullet and buy a new one once I will finish this one.
It is safe to say, this mask has become my holy grail, I love how it feels, I love how it smells, and I adore what it does. If you are in a search of a perfect face mask, do give this one a try!
